Fourth of July Festivities



From festivals and live music to fireworks displays, you'll find plenty of ways to celebrate Independence Day around the Mid-South.

* TUESDAY, JULY 3 *  

All DayMillington Flag City Freedom Celebration 2012

Food, music, and family fun all day. Culminates in a fireworks display after dark. $5/carload. Navy Lake, 6234 Kerr-Rosemark Road, Millington.

6 p.m. • Collierville 27th Annual Independence Day Celebration

Features Dr. Zar's Amazing Funk Monsters band, food vendors, and bounces for children, veterans hospitality tent. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. Free. Free shuttle service from Collierville High to Cox Park, 5:30-10:30 p.m.H. W. Cox Jr. Park, 440 West Powell Road, Collierville

6:30 p.m. • Bartlett 4th of July Festival

Live music by the Bartlett Community Concert Band and 240 Loop, children's activities, old & new cars on display, and concessions. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Free. • Bartlett Performing Arts Center, Hwy. 70 & Appling Road.
 

* WEDNESDAY, JULY 4 *

11 a.m. CMOM's Happy Birthday, America!

Pop indoor fireworks with bubble wrap, enjoy a giant balloon pass race, sing patriotic karaoke songs, and create American flags. The Statue of Liberty makes a special appearance at 1 p.m. with a special gift for visitors. Free with admission.

5 p.m. • Germantown Fireworks Extravaganza

Celebrate the nation's birthday with live music, moon bounces, games, crafts, refreshments, and a fireworks display at 9:10 p.m. Free. Municipal Park on Germantown Road and Exeter.

6 p.m. • Mud Island River Park Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular

Bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets for an evening of fun, entertainment, and fireworks. Free.

9 p.m. • Southaven July 4th Fireworks Celebration

 Enjoy live music, fun, and fireworks. Free. Snowden Grove Ampitheater 6275 Snowden Lane, Southaven, MS.
