Public School Registration: Shelby County School



Registration for the  Shelby County Schools will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013, from

8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Go here to see the SCS website.

Elementary and Middle School students can be registered in the morning or evening.
Morning session: 7:30 a.m.-noon
Evening session: 4 to 7 p.m.

High School students can be registered in the afternoon:
Grade 12: 2 p.m.
Grade 11: 3 p.m.
Grade 10: 4 p.m.
Grade 9: 6 p.m.

New High School students can be registered:
From 2 to 6:30 p.m.

In order to register your child, bring the following documents:

• Your child’s birth certificate
• Social security number
• Place of birth
• Most recent address
• Current telephone number
• Last school attended
• 2011-2012 report card
• 2012-2013 Report card

• Proof of immunization
• Proof of recent physical examination

If your child has changed schools within the last year, bring:

• Proof of residency, or a copy of an approved school transfer that has been granted by the Office of Student Enrollment or the Division of Optional Schools. These documents can include: MLGW utility bill, telephone or cable bill, mortgage statement, housing rental contract or lease agreement, three or more pieces of U.S. Mail, healthcare medical card, car insurance, or car registration.

For grandparents or guardians who have been granted permanent guardianship (court ordered), present:

• Death certificate
• Documentation of legal guardianship
