Decor Inspiration

Julie Wage Ross

Fashion is an extension of ourselves and the home is our sanctuary. So, doesn’t it seem right that a person’s sense of style is reflected through both interiors and wardrobe? We worked with nationally known, Memphis-based interior designer Lee Pruitt, who helped us take an existing room from one of his clients and translate it into a stylish outfit that she, or any other  woman, may wear. Inspired by the room’s color scheme, varied textures, and both cool and warm metallics, we created a wardrobe palette of what lies within.

1. Black linen jumpsuit by MaxMara, $795; vintage cream-colored embroidered shawl by What Comes Around Goes Around, $298; both from James Davis in Laurelwood. Thin leather belt with varied metallic stud detail, $40, from Southern Couture

2. Gold vermeil earrings in quatrefoil shape, $29; from Peria. Lucite-inspired bead bracelet, $32; silver-toned cuff, $16.50; black and silver cuff, $25; all from Turkoyz in Laurelwood.

3. “Swim out past the Moon” hand- made white stone and blue agate necklace with gold wire detail by Brave, $245; from James Davis in Laurelwood. Set of snakeskin bangles, $24; from Peria. Gold croc embossed clutch, $28; from Turkoyz in Laurelwood.

4. Gold and black wedges by Coconuts, $68; from Peria.
