Letters to the Editor

I am impressed. For years Memphis has been attempting to become a "world-class" city. From the visionary developers who oversaw the rebirth of downtown and the capitalists who recognize our city's unique position in the market, to the philanthropists who aggressively invest in our community and the creative class who keep pushing the envelope, much has been accomplished. But not until recently has anyone been able to capture the complete essence of the "new" Memphis. Memphis magazine has done it. Your redesigned magazine and its dynamic staff are in many ways the embodiment of the vibrant, diverse, artistic, intelligent, sophisticated and unique culture that is Memphis. Thank you for cleaning off the mirror and accurately reflecting what Memphis looks like today. You are providing a great service to our city and I appreciate it.

~ Doug Carpenter

The May issue of Memphis magazine is the best edition ever. The new look is spectacular. I loved the articles on barbecue and fishing on the Little Red River. You've combined two of my favorite things in one cool package.

Killer job.

~ Ron Olson

I just wanted to take the opportunity to tell you what a wonderful job you've done in the redesign of the magazine! We just received our May issue at the store and the entire staff, as well as several customers, have commented on the new look and feel.

Beauty is often found in simplicity, and you've pulled this off with ease in the fresh new layout. From the texture and weight of the cover to the clean look of the headlines and artistic styling of the photography, you're helping to further position Memphis as a hip place to live and work.

Keep up the great job, and happy 30th anniversary!

~ Robbie Johnson Weinberg, The Eclectic Eye
