"Jeans for Wishes" New April Campaign for Make-A-Wish Mid-South

Every day, children around the Mid-South struggle with chronic illness. For some, their life-threatening medical conditions make living a full life difficult.

That's why, through the month of April, Make-A-Wish Mid-South is asking for your help, by participating in their "Jeans for Wishes" campaign. Schools can choose one day (or more) this month to allow students to wear jeans to school. In exchange, each child is asked to contribute $2 to the Make-A-Wish campaign.

"We'd like to have a relationship with more schools," notes development coordinator Rebekah Sudduth. "We want students and teachers to know more about the Make-A-Wish foundation." Students who participate in the campaign can be confident that other school children across the Mid-South are doing the same thing.

It's pretty simple, really: Kids reaching out helping kids.

Last year, Make-A-Wish Mid-South granted 238 wishes, enabling children to travel with their families to Disney World, meet famous ball players, even be drafted to the Grizzlies basketball team. Most importantly, these children have special time to focus on having fun instead of feeling sick.

You can also declare a Jeans for Wishes day at your office or business. Do your part this month, and help make a child's dream come true. • To learn more, go to Make-A-Wish Mid-South or call 680-9474.
