02/22/13My Day JobI styled my friend, Necha Dickinson, for her second trip to the Grammys in support of her nominated husband, Luther. Necha's dress is a long chiffon Theyskens' Theory that reminded me instantly of our derivitive influence-Ossie Clark. Original "Ossies" are the epitome of effortless glam of the 70's and were poplular with British rockers and their girlfriends. The patent leather bow blet is perfect and we had lots of fun working with Jinger at Jospeh with these items. Necha's necklace is a multi layer moonstone piece by Mary Seay Taylor of Brave Design and it glowed on her. The sexy pewter sandals are her own and her clutch was loaned by her bestie, Juli Hurdle. Luther and Cody look great too, but this is all about Necha. Juli said it best when she posted on... Posted at 08:42 AM | Permalink | Comments: 3 |

01/30/1320 < 30 Looking Good at The CoveLast week, The Memphis Flyer celebrated some of the city's most interesting young people under 30 years old at The Cove. While these folks bring fresh ideas, innovative thinking, and passion to Memphis they also bring an innate sense of style. She wears the pants. Kelly Miller. Prrrfect accessory. Mya Donald. Cool drink of water. Ziggy Tucker. Twice as nice. Preston Parrott & Alicia Moore. Two of my favorites! Ken Neill and Bruce VanWyngarden. 01/18/13My Obsessions This Week — Studio 54Studio 54 memorabilia will be auctioned this Saturday through Palm Beach Modern Auctions, which of course has led me to obsess over those magical nights ripe with American fashion and style. Fashion designer Halston gettin' crunk with his crew — check out Bianca Jagger in her hooded Halston dress. She's the one making a silly face, BTW. It is fabled that one New Year's Eve party dumped 4 TONS of glitter throughout the night — pure heaven. This makes me dream of glitter manicures that are so hot right now. I just got my own glitter manicure from Jackie at Pavo Salon — love her! My *new* vintage Chanel earrings might have actually been in the dance floor one night at Studio 54. 01/11/13What's Inspiring Me Right Now . . .The New Year is bringing new obsessions . . . right now, I can't get enough of: High-heeled sneakers (above). Perfect for the constant stream of Memphis basketball, which is something else I'm obsessed with. Anything Chanel. TONS of gold jewelry, everywhere . . . I'm thinking of piercing my nose just so I can add to my gold jewelry collection. And somehow, for no real reason at all, this image inspires me.
