"Ask Vance - Book Two" Is Now Available in a Kindle Edition. Just Visit Amazon and Download Yours Today
I know just how you feel: It's so tiresome to have your chauffeur drive you to an actual bookstore to purchase a book. You have to walk through the store, stand in line at the register with "regular" folks, and even speak with a common clerk. Then there's that awkward exchange of money or credit cards — it's just not done in polite society.
And ordering one online means you have to drag that heavy mouse around on your desk, maybe click a few keys or swipe a greasy finger across your iPad, and then wait for days for the book to arrive in the mail. The whole process just seems ... archaic
And THEN, when the actual book arrives, oh it's such a chore to turn those heavy pages. There's really no telling how many carpal-tunnel sufferers would be leading happy, productive lives today if they hadn't ordered either of my two Ask Vance books.
Well, now there's a solution. We are offering a Kindle version of Ask Vance - Book Two. Just go to Amazon, and for the amazingly low price of just $9.99, you can have the complete electronic version of the same book — complete with all photos and illustrations — that thousands and thousands of Memphians are already reading.
We did this for you, dear readers, so go here to purchase your copy. You'll have the complete book downloaded to your Kindle in less than a minute. Isn't that amazing? (Sorry, but only Book Two is available in the electronic version. We can only do so much.)
Remember: If you so desire, you can still order the regular softcover"book" version directly from us. Just call 901-521-9000, ext. 470. If you want, I'll even inscribe it at no extra charge — even though you and I both know that my scribbled signature adds incredible value to the book.
Sorry, I won't be able to autograph or inscribe your Kindle versions. That is a downside to this, I admit.
And by the time you read this, we'll also have a Nook version available from Barnes and Noble, so you can take your pick. More about that later.

Ask Vance is the blog of Vance Lauderdale, the award-winning columnist of Memphis magazine and MBQ: Inside Memphis Business. Vance is the author of two books: Ask Vance: The Best Questions and Answers from Memphis Magazine's History and Trivia Expert (2003), as well as Ask Vance: More Questions and Answers from Memphis Magazine's History Expert (2011). He is also the recipient of quite a few nice awards, the creator of several eye-catching wall calendars, and the only person we know with a vintage shock-treatment machine in his den.
Received my copies of both books, and have enjoyed them very, very much. Yes, they have answered some questions about things I remember from my childhood in Crosstown.
