John Kachik

Illustrator John Kachik is an alumnus and adjunct faculty of the Maryland Institute College of Art. His clients include Forbes, Sports Illustrated, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and U.S. News & World Report, as well as the publishers Random House and Simon & Schuster. His work has been honored by Communication Arts, Graphis, Society of Publication Designers, Society of Illustrators, Print Annual, and the One Show. He also has a permanent collection of 10 portraits in exhibition at the Caring Foundation, a Smithsonian-associated gallery, as well as a tile mural installation at Baltimore/Washington International Airport. He lives in Sykesville, Maryland, with his wife Maria, daughters Emily (who took this picture) and Isabel, and Mia the dog.

Jackson Baker

Jackson Baker is senior editor and political columnist of The Memphis Flyer, a contributing editor of Memphis, and a regular contributor to Time and Time.com, among other periodicals. A former reporter for the Arkansas Gazette and other newspapers, he has been an assistant professor of English at the University of Memphis and an aide in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has won several journalism awards, including two SPJ Green Eyeshade Awards.

Rick Bostick

Photographer Rick Bostick has been shooting Memphis architecture for the last four years, and is a regular contributor to Memphis. He graduated from the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale, where he received the Marble Award for photography and commercial art. Rick produces custom radius backgrounds for photography, video, and television studios, as well as architectural accents for buildings. He enjoys drawing, sculpting, and spending time with his family.    

Mary Cashiola

Shopaholic Mary Cashiola is a Memphis transplant by way of Northwestern University. As a former contributing editor of Memphis, Mary scoured the city for Fab Finds fodder. She is now associate editor of The Memphis Flyer, where she writes the weekly "In The Bluff" column. If you see her out shopping, she'll happily point you in the direction of the best deals (after she's plundered the area first, of course).

Chris Davis

Chris Davis is an award-winning writer, actor, and director who has lived in Memphis since 1985. He's worked as a stringer for Details, and his writing has appeared in Maxim, Outdoors, and Stage Directions. He is a staff writer for The Memphis Flyer, the proud papa of twin girls, and can occasionally be seen singing country-western classics with his band, Papa Top's West Coast Turnaround.
